East Side Youth Center (ESYC), a Pennsylvania non-profit [501 ( C ) ( 3 )] organization welcomes all of you to our location in East Allentown, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1955, ESYC focuses on providing positive and high quality recreational, educational, and community-based program activities for the youth and adults in the Lehigh Valley.
Our 120 all-volunteer coaches and program administrators welcome you to learn more about our philosophy, sports and educational activities, and how to register your children for activities by clicking through our website.

Youth Sports Activities
Registration Process for ESYC Sports
- Go to the Forms page – print and manually complete and sign the ESYC Participation Contract and the ESYC Medical Release Form
- Some sport leagues require a copy of your athlete’s birth certificate
- Bring paperwork and sport fee (or ESYC annual All-Sport Pass) to one of the announced sign-up dates for each sport.
- Click on the sports above to see the current sign up dates. All sports start their sign-up dates one or two months before the season starts.
Other Activities
- Education (After-School and Summer Tutoring for needy Allentown School District Students)
Volunteers -- We need Your Help!! Call an ESYC Officer or your Sport Coordinator on Contact Us page.
- Coaches -- Criminal and Child Abuse Background Checks are done for all new coaches (no cost)
- Program Helpers -- Team Parent, Phone calls, Concession Stand, Setup / Cleanup for events, etc.
- Skilled Trades -- Need carpenters, electricians, plumbers, roofers, masons, etc. for odd jobs around the center. Larger building projects are often contracted with ESYC friends / parents.
Donations Needed – East Side Youth Center relies on our weekly bingo business and the tremendous generosity of government, business, charitable foundations, and private individual contributions for all of our capital needs, operating expenses and programming support.
