ESYC Soccer Philosophy
- Our goal is to have fun and teach all skills required for effective soccer play at all competitive levels.
- Ball skills include dribbling, passing, control, and kicking.
- Game skills include offensive and defensive team strategies and effective spacing on the field.
- Athletes will get plenty of good exercise and learn individual and teamwork skills such as effective teamwork.
- Effective listening and observation skills are helpful to any soccer player.

Practices and Games
Parents or guardians must transport athletes to all practices and games.
Practices days vary by the availability athletic field and the coaches.
Spring season:
Practices start in mid March (weather permitting)
Teams practice on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at ESYC or at athletic fields in the surrounding area.
Games in April-June are on Sundays (exceptions -- teams over age 14 play on Saturdays) in the Lehigh Valley area.
· Fall season:
Practices start near August 1st ,
Teams practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at ESYC or at athletic fields in the surrounding area.
Games in September-November are on Saturdays (exceptions -- teams over age 14 play on Sundays) in the Lehigh Valley area.

Ages 5 to 15 for boys and girls. All players have a minimum playing time of approximately 25% in every game.
Approx 60-100 players participate in both the fall and spring seasons in the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League
(this league is totally focused toward Recreation skill-level players).
The Spring season of games start on April 13th.
Registration Dates for the spring 2013 season at the ESYC Gymnasium Building are:
Friday March 8 7:00-8:30PM
Friday March 15 7:00-8:30PM
Friday March 22 7:00-8:30PM
Friday March 29 7:00-8:30PM

The LAST 4 NUMBERS of your athlete’s SOCIAL SECURITY Number is required on the ESYC Contract.
Also MEDICAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.... INCOMPLETE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
COST TO PLAY: $35.00 Registration Fee OR Prepaid ESYC 2013 All-Sport Card is Required
Plus, MANDATORY FUNDRAISING (or a cash buyout) is required before each athlete receives a game uniform.
